SAY!!! NEW YEAR, MY NEW LIFE…..

 

If you have ever seen a tree bearing fruit, you will realise that after its season of fruitfulness, the old leaves eventually wither. After some time, new leaves appear, and the tree begins preparing to bear new fruits. 🍎

 

Have you ever asked yourself why?

 

• The old leaves may no longer be useful to the tree at that time. They may have been damaged by dirt, insects, or other factors.
• They may no longer be able to perform their basic functions, such as photosynthesis.

 

So, the tree naturally sheds its old leaves and produces new ones, allowing it to remain healthy, fruitful, and strong for a longer time.

 

2 Corinthians 5:17b says:

 

“Old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.”

 

Just as trees go through this process occasionally so they can remain fruitful and live longer, what about us, God’s wonderfully handcrafted human beings?

 

What are you willing to let go of as you enter 2026?

 

Maybe you are wondering or asking yourself: What are some of the old behaviours I need to get rid of as I enter 2026, starting tomorrow? 👀👇

 

The Bible tells us about the works of the flesh:

 

“Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings.”

Galatians 5:19–21

 

Now, just as the tree produces fresh leaves, what are the fresh fruits we should produce in 2026? 👀👇

 

The Bible says:

 

“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.”

Galatians 5:22–23

 

You can read the whole of Galatians 5 to gain more understanding as a Christian.

 

So, to all of us who have not been doing what we should or what we are supposed to do:

 

Let 2026 be a turning point for you and me.

 

Let us make the best of it. Plan your life for 2026. Be deliberate about your decisions, your growth, your relationship with God, and your purpose.

 

What you could not achieve in 2025, let us believe God for the grace, strength, wisdom, and discipline to achieve in 2026.

 

 

My prayer is that the Good Lord will be with us now and forevermore. Amen.
